Next week brings the opportunity to see one of the nation's preeminent scholars right here in Alabama. Dr. Cornel West will speak on the campus of Alabama State University this coming Monday. From the ASU website:
The National Center for the Study of Civil Rights and African-American Culture at Alabama State University will host the Ralph D. Abernathy Civil Rights Lecture Series on Monday, December 3 at 7 p.m. at the Joe L. Reed Acadome. Dr. Cornel West will be the guest speaker.
